    While cash is king in a recession, return on investment is equally as regal.

    If your company has both, your firm might be in as fortunate a position as Columbus-based Webbed Marketing LLC. The Internet marketing firm carries no debt, is profitable and has doubled its revenue and employee roster on an annual basis since its start in November 2006.

    Bill Balderaz, the company’s founder and chief innovation officer, says it all comes from recognizing what clients want now that money is tight.

    “On the Internet, we can track and measure ROI very closely. If someone made a purchase, we can find out what site led them to that,” Balderaz said. “It’s benefitted us because we can track marketing dollars very precisely.”
