When working with online campaigns, we have learned the importance of defining hard, measurable goals upfront. “Creating more buzz?” “Going Viral?” These goals don’t cut it any longer. But “Increase the number of blog postings indexed by Technorati by 30% over last month” or “Increase qualified site visitors from MySpace by 25%” are goals that a campaign can clearly be measured against.
